Research Interests   My major research interests  cover information retrieval and machine learning. Currently my efforts are mainly put on image understanding which attempt to leverage and model Web-scale images. Previously I'm specially interested in tackling the problem of mining and learning from heterogeneous and relational data sets, e.g. a set of Web images, surrounding texts and hyperlinks. The goal is to learn the intrinsic object similarity/link structure to improve search performance.
